Controlled drug release
The implants continuously release the active ingredient over a defined period of time. This ensures a constant level of the active ingredient in the body.
Biodegradable system
The implant is completely absorbed by the body after application.
Parenteral sustained-release dosage form
The drug delivery systems developed by AMW are based on parenteral sustained-release formulations. By bypassing the gastrointestinal tract, the active ingredient enters the body chemically unchanged and becomes continuously available systemically, without undergoing first-pass metabolism. Compared to conventional dosage forms, this could potentially result in advantages in terms of the drug’s efficacy and tolerability.
